Escape the rush of daily life and embrace the timeless elegance of high tea at Lakeview Springs in picturesque Hervey Bay. This invitation promises not just a pause to savour the moment and connect with others but also an exclusive tour of our stunning new display homes. Celebrate a ritual born long ago, now reimagined at Lakeview Springs, where sophistication, indulgence, and friendship await in a setting celebrated the world over.

But beyond the culinary delights, high tea holds a deeper significance as a gathering that fosters community and connection. Whether enjoyed with family, friends, or even strangers, sharing a pot of tea creates a sense of intimacy and warmth that transcends boundaries. As conversation flows as freely as the tea, bonds are strengthened and memories are made, weaving a tapestry of shared experiences that endure long after the last crumb has been devoured.
In essence, high tea is more than just a culinary experience; it's a celebration of the beauty of human connection. In a world that often feels divided, it serves as a gentle reminder of our shared humanity and the simple joys that unite us all.
Brewing the Perfect Cup of Tea
Here's a simple guide to enhance your tea experience:
- Begin with pure, filtered water to capture the tea's full essence.
- Match the water temperature to the tea type-typically around 85 degrees Celsius-for a perfect brew.
- Pre-warm your teapot to maintain the water's warmth as it steeps.
- Add tea to the pot, pour in the water, and steep with a cover.
- Steep according to the tea type's recommended time, usually no more than five minutes, to unlock the perfect flavour.
- Strain and serve the tea, ensuring no leaves remain in the water to prevent bitterness.
If you want to have another cup, pour more hot water into the teapot (using the same tea leaves) and set the timer again. For the second steep, add 1-2 more minutes.
Tea Sommelier’s Tip: Don’t leave tea leaves sitting in water after the steep time since it makes the tea extremely bitter. To avoid this, use a tea infuser inside a teapot so that the tea leaves are separated from the water after the first pour or make just enough tea and pour out - every last drop - so there isn’t any water sitting in the teapot.
